JK Place, Capri. Sleeping like Beyoncé in discrete elegance

On top of a cliff and overlooking of the Bay of Napels and Mount Vesuvius, this nineteenth century villa in Capri, with its 22 hotel rooms is one of my favourite in the world. JK Place has a stylish nautical interior with Italian Elegance designed by Michelle Bönan.

“Dark wooden floors, white cotton sofas and wing chairs, a lot of art books and potted orchids gives you the ambiance of a private home.”

When we arrive, we sit at the long veranda overlooking the sea and Marina Grande. A delicious welcome drink is waiting for us, we could sit here for hours. In fact it’s difficult getting out of our chairs as the ambiance and the music we hear makes us so relaxed and the view is phenomenal.

Discrete elegance, precious details in the interior that refer to the sea, along with the tranquillity of the island have made this incredible hotel a perfect small luxury resort getaway.

Once you’ve been here, you’ll want to go back again and again.

Jennifer Aniston loves this place as does Beyoncé, I’m pretty fond of it too! From my king size bed overlooking the Amalfi Coast and Mount Vesuvius, I feel like a princes in the right fairytale.

The cook is coming to tell us what we will have for dinner tonight. Perfect, that means we can stay inside! And the food is sublime! A delightful Mediterranean diner is waiting for us in the cosy dining room, lemon risotto with gamba’s and lamb, and for dessert we get a yellow ice cream made from cactus.

At night we enjoy the bar’s homemade Limoncello and non-alcoholic cocktails, especially made for me. J I still have the recipes saved in my phone so every time I make them at home back in the Netherlands, it will remind my of my wonderful stay here at JK Place.
